Our TERMS And CONDITIONS

OUR FIXED LABOUR CHARGE PROMISE

  • Our fixed labour charge repair includes diagnostic and safety check, engineer's time at your premises, estimate and repair hence can not be apportioned. 

  • Labour charge is refundable even when we have attempted and can not fix your oven or cooker.

  • No extra labour charge if parts need to be ordered and we need to return.

  • No extra charge if your initial complained problem needs more than one visit before repaired.

OUR GUARANTEE

  • We repair domestic electric ovens and cookers only. These are referred to as appliances

  • We give you 12 months guarantee on labour. Different guarantee comes with parts based on manufacturers or dealers. It is our client's responsibility to discuss with the engineer on site about the guarantee that is available for any part used. This can range between 1 to 12 months depending on the part and situation of your appliance.

  • We will not be able to give guarantee on appliances installed in a commercial environment

  • Also, we do not give guarantee on cosmetic parts such as bulbs, handles, glass etc or parts that could be used not in accordance with the manufacturer's manual and instructions.

  • Our guarantee will not cover damage as a result of appliance being affected by flood damage or infestation, repairs to appliance which have not been installed in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations and appliances over 8 years old and some of their parts are found to be obsolete.

  • We reserve the right to terminate guarantee when a part to be replaced is obsolete and is no longer available from the manufacturer. We do not have control over production of parts. No refund will be due and we won't be liable in any way as the situation will be beyond our control. This could happen after an initial repair was guaranteed and rarely does it happen.

IF WE CAN NOT REPAIR

  • In a situation whereby we can not repair your appliance based on part being obsolete or we cannot find the part needed for your appliance, you get cost of part refunded if you have paid, we do not refund you our labour charge, OR our labour charge is payable as this is a situation beyond our or your control. 

  • If your complaint is more than one on an appliance and we can not repair the main of your complaints, we won't charge you because we can not repair the main complaint BUT on rare occasions if we can not repair just the minor complaint and can repair main one for your appliance to work, we will charge you our fixed labour. This will be discussed with you before repair is carried out.

  • If a part is a special order and after a period of 8 weeks your part does not arrive after ordered, both parties have the right to cancel and refund will be calculated based on what has been spent by us. 

  • We reserve the right to cancel repair if

  • Part is obsolete

  • Our engineer diagnosed the appliance is not repairable OR

  • Our engineer has tried and still unable to repair you appliance

RIGHTS

  • Your cancellation will only be accepted by writing us via email (check here for our contact details)

  • You may change or cancel your appointment date at any time up to 16:00 on the day before the original agreed call out date. If you wish to change or cancel your appointment please call us. In this case you will receive a full refund if you have paid but if you have not paid, you won't be charged.

  • If you cancel the fixed charge repair at any time after 16:00 on the day before the agreed appointment date we will refund you the original fixed price fee paid less an administration charge of £35.00.

  • We are open 24hrs but have limited time to receive in-coming calls. You can call us strictly between our opening times which our office will be there to assist. and during emergency or situations beyond your control, you can call us anytime. We will respond if we are available. We are able to pass you any crucial information at any time most especially if we have done a repair for you or there is any ongoing repair. We may leave a voice mail if you can not pick up or and send you a message or email if we have your email address.

  • If our engineer cannot gain access to the appliance based on your unavailability or obstruction to the appliance on the agreed appointment date, you will be charged an administration fee of £35.00 and the balance of the fee paid refunded to you if you have paid.

 

  • We reserve the right to change or cancel your selected appointment date and any alternative date will be offered to you. If date offered is unacceptable to you, we will give you a full refund of the fixed charge repair fee if paid already.

  • We can give you a special quote based on your appliance if the problem of your appliance is more than one and are not related problems. Our engineer will let you know before we proceed in this case.

  • Oventechs web site includes links to external web sites. These links are provided to help you find additional information quickly and easily. Vidson Ventures UK Limited accepts no responsibility for the content of these web sites.

  • If you wish to cancel whilst your repair is in progress, for example, the engineer has visited once but will need to return to complete the repair, provided no parts have been fitted, we will not refund you the original fixed charge paid as it is fixed and can not be apportioned.  . If parts have been fitted, you will not be eligible to cancel, no refund will be made and we will charge you for the part used.

  • We reserve the right to cancel your repair if we do not hear from you within 3 to 5 days after our engineer visited for diagnosis and your appliance will need part(s).

 

  • We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and without notice. Any such changes will take effect when posted on our website and it is your responsibility to read these terms

 

  • By placing a booking you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by our latest terms and conditions.
